Chet “ImAPet” Singh has departed from Evil Geniuses’ CSGO squad. The coach of the EG squad has left on the grounds of conflict with Tarik “tarik” Celik and in-game leader Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz.
Internal problems with tarik and stanislaw
In a TwitLonger post, ImAPet described why he has decided to leave the team. Firstly, he expressed his innermost sadness over the situation, leaving Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte, Ethan “Ethan” Arnold, and Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov behind, all of whom he called “friends.” He also mentioned the feeling of “extreme depression” because of having to be away from them.
Unfortunately, ImAPet summed up his relationship with stanislaw and tarik as “absolutely horrendous.” He added that there was “hypocrisy on certain cultural beliefs and views on the game” that led to varying opinions on the approach towards matches. He added that there’s more information that he could rant about, but chose to “keep it behind closed doors for now.”
Ultimately, ImAPet is open to team offers from “any region.”
ImAPet’s time on Evil Geniuses
ImAPet was the coach of Evil Geniuses for two years and transitioned with the team from NRG in late 2019. Under his watch, the team found success at multiple events. The most impressive victories were just after the transition to EG when the team triumphed over Astralis at ESL One: New York 2019 and Fnatic were vanquished in the final at StarSeries i-League CS:GO Season 8. The result of these victories was a brief placement at the #1 spot on HLTV’s global CSGO rankings. As things stand on April 4, EG are ranked #7.
